Daniel Pink is an American author who writes about work, motivation and human behavior, translating social science into ideas people can act on. His books include Drive, which argued that autonomy, mastery and purpose beat carrots and sticks, To Sell Is Human, which recast selling as something everyone now does, and A Whole New Mind, on the rising value of right-brain skills. Before writing he was chief speechwriter to Vice President Al Gore. He is one of the most widely read authors in the business and self-development space.
