Richard Bausch
Novelist and Short Story Writer
Richard Bausch has published a dozen novels and eight story collections, and won the PEN/Malamud Award for excellence in short fiction as well as the Dayton Literary Peace Prize for Peace, a short novel about three American soldiers in Italy in 1944. He taught for decades, most recently at Chapman University, and his twin brother Robert is also a novelist. He reads and rereads a small number of books constantly, which is roughly what this list is.
