Malcolm Gladwell

Staff Writer, The New Yorker

Malcolm Gladwell has been a staff writer at The New Yorker since 1996 and is the author of eight books, among them The Tipping Point, Blink and Outliers. His method is to take a body of academic research and rebuild it as narrative, which is why his titles have become shorthand for the ideas inside them. He hosts the podcast Revisionist History and co-founded the audio company Pushkin Industries. He credits a single book, Lee Ross and Richard Nisbett’s The Person and the Situation, with giving him that template.

“All of my books have been, in some sense, intellectual godchildren of The Person and the Situation. This book has been a constant companion over the past 10 years.” — via Foreword
