Börge Hellström
Swedish Crime Novelist
Börge Hellström (1957 to 2017) was a Swedish writer and one half of the crime-writing duo Roslund & Hellström. A former offender, he became known as a founding member of KRIS (Kriminellas revansch i samhället), an organisation that works against crime and supports former criminals in leaving drugs behind. He met the journalist Anders Roslund when Roslund was filming a documentary about KRIS, and the two wrote seven books together between 2004 and 2016, including The Beast, Box 21 and Three Seconds. He died of cancer in 2017. His picks here come from a Five Books interview he gave with Roslund: The Abominable Man and The Raven.
