Former CEO of Google

Eric Schmidt is a technologist and businessman who served as CEO of Google from 2001 to 2011, guiding it from a fast-growing startup into one of the world’s most powerful companies, and later as executive chairman of Google and its parent, Alphabet. Since stepping back he has focused on technology policy, national security, and the societal impact of artificial intelligence. His books, several co-written with fellow executives and thinkers, distill lessons on running fast-scaling companies and on the promise and peril of AI.
