Chris Hayes

Chris Hayes is an American journalist, author and television anchor. He hosts All In with Chris Hayes and the podcast Why Is This Happening?, and is an editor-at-large of The Nation. His books turn a reporter’s eye on big structural questions: the failure of American elites and the collapse of trust in institutions, the two-tiered system of policing and justice that treats citizens differently by race and class, and the economics of human attention in a distracted age. He writes as a journalist trying to explain why the machinery of public life stopped working.
