Amy Chua

Law Professor and Author

Amy Chua is the John M. Duff Jr. Professor of Law at Yale, where she has taught since 2001 after seven years at Duke and a spell as a corporate lawyer at Cleary Gottlieb. Her academic work is on ethnic conflict, globalisation and law and development, and her books carry it to general readers: World on Fire, Day of Empire and Political Tribes, alongside the memoir Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother.
