Jason Isaacs

Actor

Jason Isaacs trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama after reading law at Bristol, and has worked steadily across film, television and stage since the late 1980s. He is widely known as Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter films, Colonel Tavington in The Patriot, and Captain Lorca in Star Trek: Discovery, with more recent work including the third season of The White Lotus. He is an unusually engaged reader in interviews, and talks about books in terms of what they cost him rather than what they taught him.
