Walter Isaacson

Walter Isaacson is an American journalist and biographer who ran CNN and edited Time before turning to writing the lives of people who changed their fields. His subjects form a line through the history of ideas: Benjamin Franklin, Einstein, Leonardo da Vinci, Steve Jobs, the gene-editing pioneer Jennifer Doudna and Elon Musk. The books share a method and a question, how curiosity and character combine to produce genius, which is why they read as much as studies of creativity as of individual people. He teaches at Tulane.
