Susan Cain

Susan Cain is an American writer and lecturer who practised corporate law before turning to writing. Quiet argued that Western institutions are built around an extrovert ideal that wastes what introverts are good at, and it stayed on bestseller lists for years while quietly changing how a lot of offices and classrooms are arranged. Bittersweet followed, on longing and melancholy as sources of creativity rather than problems to fix. Her TED talk has been viewed tens of millions of times.
