Ray Dalio

Ray Dalio is an American investor who founded Bridgewater Associates in his apartment in 1975 and built it into one of the largest hedge funds in the world. He is best known beyond finance for Principles, a book setting out the radically transparent decision-making system he used to run the firm, which became an international bestseller. His later books turn the same systematic eye on economic history, arguing that debt cycles and the rise and fall of nations follow patterns that repeat and can be studied.
