Rand Paul

Rand Paul is an American physician and Republican U.S. senator from Kentucky, elected in 2010 as a Tea Party favorite and a leading libertarian-leaning voice in Congress. The son of former congressman Ron Paul, he has built a profile around opposition to federal overreach, government spending, and foreign intervention, and a willingness to break with his own party. His books extend that platform, arguing against socialism and government abuse of ordinary citizens and for a smaller, less interventionist state.
