Michelle Obama

Michelle Obama is an American attorney and author who served as First Lady of the United States from 2009 to 2017. Raised on the South Side of Chicago, she trained as a lawyer at Harvard before a career in public service and hospital administration. Her 2018 memoir Becoming, an unusually candid account of that journey and of life in the White House, became one of the best-selling memoirs ever published. Her writing since has turned to the tools she uses to stay steady in uncertain times.
