Michael Bloomberg

Michael Bloomberg is an American businessman and politician who founded the financial-data and media company Bloomberg L.P. after being pushed out of Salomon Brothers, and built it on the terminal that became standard equipment on trading desks worldwide. He served three terms as mayor of New York City and has since directed much of his fortune to public-health and climate philanthropy. His books span the memoir of building that company and a practical, data-driven case for tackling climate change from the bottom up.
