Michael A. Singer is an American author and former software entrepreneur who writes on meditation and the inner life. The Untethered Soul argues that most people mistake the constant voice in their head for themselves, and that learning to step back from it is both possible and the whole point. The Surrender Experiment recounts what happened when he spent decades saying yes to whatever life put in front of him, which included building a large software company more or less by accident.
