Melinda French Gates

Melinda French Gates is an American philanthropist who, after an early career as a Microsoft product manager, co-founded and led the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, directing billions toward global health, education, and women’s empowerment. Through her firm Pivotal Ventures she focuses on expanding women’s power and influence in the United States. Her book The Moment of Lift argues, from data and personal experience, that lifting up women is the most effective way to lift whole societies.
