David Wroblewski is an American novelist whose first book, The Story of Edgar Sawtelle, took more than a decade to write and became a number one bestseller and an Oprah’s Book Club selection. It transplants Hamlet to a Wisconsin farm where a mute boy raises a fictional breed of dog. Familiaris, published sixteen years later, returns to the same family several generations earlier. He worked as a software developer while writing the first novel.
