Claire Keegan

Claire Keegan is an Irish writer whose short stories and novellas have appeared in The New Yorker, Granta and The Paris Review. She works at extreme compression: Small Things Like These runs to barely a hundred pages and still holds a whole town’s complicity inside it, and Foster was adapted as the film The Quiet Girl. Keegan revises for years, and almost nothing in her sentences is left doing no work.
