Austin Kleon is an American writer and artist whose short, illustrated books on creative work have found a wide audience. Steal Like an Artist reframes originality as thoughtful borrowing, Show Your Work! argues for sharing the process rather than only the finished thing, and Keep Going deals with sustaining a practice over time. He began with Newspaper Blackout, poems made by striking words out of newspaper columns, which set the visual style his later books kept.
