Andrew Yang

Andrew Yang is an American entrepreneur, author and political figure. He founded Venture for America, a nonprofit that placed graduates in startups in struggling cities, then ran for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination on a platform built around a universal basic income, warning that automation was poised to displace millions of workers. He later ran for mayor of New York and co-founded the Forward Party. His books argue that the economy is being reshaped faster than politics can respond, and that the answer is to put money and agency directly into people’s hands.
