Who Is Rich?
A cartoonist teaches a week-long arts conference and conducts an affair he cannot afford.
Rich Fischer, a cartoonist whose one success is well behind him, teaches at a summer arts conference and resumes an affair with a wealthy student, while his marriage and finances quietly deteriorate at home. Klam is very funny about the self-regard of minor artists, and the novel is unusually honest about money, envy and middle-aged panic.

Klam is the rare writer who makes me laugh out loud. Who Is Rich? follows a middle-aged cartoonist whose early career success is a distant memory.
