The Winners
A Novel
The final Beartown novel, in which a storm, a homecoming and an old rivalry bring Beartown and its neighbor Hed to a reckoning.
The Winners, published in English in 2022, completes Fredrik Backman’s Beartown trilogy. Two years after the earlier events, a violent storm strikes the forest towns of Beartown and Hed, and people who left are drawn back home. As the rivalry between the two towns turns dangerous, Backman follows the families he has built across three books toward a reckoning, and gives the characters readers have followed since Beartown their endings.
