The Structure of Scientific Revolutions
Kuhn's classic on how science advances not smoothly but through disruptive paradigm shifts.
Thomas Kuhn’s landmark 1962 essay changed how we understand science itself. Rather than advancing by steady accumulation, Kuhn argued, science lurches forward through revolutions: a reigning paradigm accumulates anomalies until a crisis forces a wholesale shift to a new framework. He gave us the very phrase paradigm shift. Compact and endlessly debated, it remains one of the most influential books on how knowledge grows. Mark Zuckerberg included it in his A Year of Books club.
