The Sittaford Mystery

Agatha Christie · 2012

Agatha Christie's snowbound Dartmoor mystery, which appeared in the US under another title.

A séance on a snowy evening in the village of Sittaford announces that Captain Trevelyan is dead. Major Burnaby sets off on foot, since the roads are impassable, and finds the prediction has come true. Emily Trefusis, engaged to Trevelyan’s nephew, works out the truth alongside the police. The 1931 novel was published in the US as The Murder at Hazelmoor. Jónasson keeps rereading Christie, and this is the title he names.
