The Murder of Roger Ackroyd
Agatha Christie's third novel starring Hercule Poirot, in the William Morrow edition.
Dr James Sheppard tells the story, set in the village of King’s Abbot after a wealthy widow’s death and an urgent dinner invitation from Roger Ackroyd. It appeared in 1926, following a 1925 serialisation as Who Killed Ackroyd? Its twist ending had a significant impact on the genre, and it is one of her most controversial novels. Jónasson wishes he could come to it all over again as a new reader.

Agatha Christie's The Murder of Roger Ackroyd, no question. A superbly clever book.
