The Jetsetters

A widowed mother wins a Mediterranean cruise and summons her three adult children, each hiding a failure they would rather not discuss. Ward puts them on a ship with nowhere to go and lets the resentments surface at dinner. It is a comic novel with real sadness underneath, about a family who have spent decades performing fine for one another, and about a mother with more of a private life than her children imagined.
