Talkativeness
Poems from a Montana farrier that treat the habits of daily life with humor.
Michael Earl Craig’s Talkativeness was published by Wave Books in April 2014. Craig is an American poet and farrier who lives in Livingston, Montana, and served as Poet Laureate of Montana from 2015 to 2017. His poems tend to poke at everyday assumptions and habits with humor, against a slightly warped pastoral landscape. Poets & Writers carries an excerpt that includes the poem Quick Sketch of a Bullet. Jenny Offill calls the poems beautiful and beautifully deadpan.

I was thrilled to come across Michael Earl Craig's Talkativeness. His poems are beautiful and beautifully deadpan. I keep returning to them.
