Snowblind
Ragnar Jónasson's Icelandic crime novel that starts the Dark Iceland series, from Minotaur in 2017.
Ari Thór Arason, a rookie policeman new to the job, arrives in Siglufjörður, a fishing village in northern Iceland reached through a mountain tunnel. A young woman is found in the snow and an elderly writer falls to his death in the local theatre, and Ari finds a community where he can trust nobody. Quentin Bates translated it from Snjóblinda. Orenda Books published it in Britain, and The New York Times called it a classically crafted whodunit.
