Blessed Unrest
Hundreds of thousands of small groups are working to heal the planet. Hawken asks what they add up to.
Paul Hawken, an environmentalist and entrepreneur, describes a worldwide movement of hundreds of thousands of organisations working on the environment and social justice. Mostly small and unconnected, they have no leader or central ideology. Hawken compares the movement to an immune system responding to the damage done to the planet and its people.

He likened it to a kind of immune system response to an ill body.
