Alvar Aalto designed the door handles too, and this catalogues every component he touched.
Celine Dietziker and Lukas Gruntz document Aalto’s buildings from the inside out: handles, lamps, stair details, joinery and the rest of the small parts he refused to leave to anyone else. The collection makes the case that he was a micro-architect as much as a designer of buildings, and the photography of the components is superb.

Celine Dietziker and Lukas Gruntz, Aalto in Detail: A Catalogue of Components. I hadn’t realized just how much he was a “micro architect.” This book, for instance, has a fantastic collection of different photos of stairs he designed. This is a book for me.
