Ten months in court with the survivors and the accused of the Bataclan attacks.
Emmanuel Carrere attended all ten months of the trial of the twenty men accused over the November 2015 attacks in Paris, writing a weekly column from the courtroom. The result gives most of its space to the survivors and the bereaved giving evidence, and comparatively little to the author, which for Carrere is a deliberate act of restraint.
