Alan Moore
Writer
Alan Moore is an English writer best known for reinventing what comics could carry, in Watchmen, V for Vendetta, From Hell and Swamp Thing, and widely regarded among his peers as the finest writer the form has produced. He has since largely left comics for prose, publishing the vast Northampton novel Jerusalem and the Long London fantasy sequence. He is an unusually generous reader of other writers, and his own influences run to the English visionaries: Peake, Moorcock, Angela Carter.
