Sally Rooney

Sally Rooney is an Irish novelist whose books have sold more than six million copies and been translated into over forty languages. Conversations with Friends and Normal People were both adapted as television series, and Beautiful World, Where Are You and Intermezzo followed. She writes about young people talking each other into and out of relationships, in unadorned prose that carries a lot of Marxist argument without ever announcing it. She was a champion debater before she was a novelist.
