Aaron Maté is a Canadian journalist who hosts Pushback on The Grayzone and has worked as a reporter and producer for Democracy Now!, Vice, The Real News Network and Al Jazeera. His reporting for The Nation on the Russiagate investigations won an Izzy Award in 2019. He writes long, document-driven pieces that argue closely from primary material, and his book Their Blood, Our Bullets extends that method to the war in Ukraine.
