Society of Lies

Maya returns to Princeton for her younger sister’s graduation and instead has to account for her death, which the university would prefer to call an accident. The two timelines follow each sister through the same eating clubs and secret societies a decade apart. Brown, a Princeton graduate herself, is pointed about how these institutions absorb students of colour and about who gets protected when something goes wrong.
