Warren Buffett is an American investor and philanthropist, the chairman and former chief executive of Berkshire Hathaway, the conglomerate he built from a failing textile mill into one of the world’s largest companies. Known as the Oracle of Omaha, he learned value investing from Benjamin Graham at Columbia and has spent a lifetime buying businesses he understands and holding them for decades. He credits most of his edge to reading, several hours of it every day, and has pledged to give away almost all of his fortune.
