The Lean Startup
How Today's Entrepreneurs Use Continuous Innovation to Create Radically Successful Businesses
Eric Ries's 2011 book lays out the lean startup method, which builds a minimum viable product and learns from customers.
Eric Ries drew on his time as a startup advisor and founder, including the troubles of his earlier startup, to outline a framework built on rapid prototyping, validated learning and iterative releases. The goal is shorter product development cycles. The method borrows from lean manufacturing and agile development, and favors experiments and user feedback over long-term planning. The publisher says it has sold over a million copies.
