The Mothman Prophecies
A True Story
John A. Keel's 1975 account of a winged creature reported at Point Pleasant, West Virginia, and the strange events that followed.
Journalist John Keel went to Point Pleasant, West Virginia, in 1966 to look into sightings of a winged figure that became known as Mothman. His book also covers lights in the sky, animal mutilations and odd warnings by telephone. Karin Tidbeck found it while working in a science fiction bookshop and calls it the perfect science fiction and folklore crossover, though they warn that Keel rants a lot.
