Mirror, Shoulder, Signal
Dorthe Nors's novel about Sonja, a Danish translator of Swedish crime fiction, translated by Misha Hoekstra and published by Graywolf in 2018.
Mirror, Shoulder, Signal is a novel by the Danish writer Dorthe Nors, shortlisted for the 2017 Man Booker International Prize. Its protagonist, Sonja, translates Swedish crime fiction into Danish and is, as Nors puts it, a bit fed up with it. A large part of the book makes fun of the Scandi Noir phenomenon. Misha Hoekstra translated it, and Graywolf Press published the English edition on 5 June 2018 at 192 pages.
