Tragically I Was an Only Twin
The Complete Peter Cook
The collected comic writing of Peter Cook, the leading figure of Britain's 1960s satire boom.
Peter Cook led the British satire boom of the 1960s, from the stage revue Beyond the Fringe with Alan Bennett, Jonathan Miller and Dudley Moore to his comedy club, The Establishment. This collection, edited by William Cook, gathers his own writing from school and university onward: monologues, satirical journalism for Private Eye, irreverent essays and highlights of his partnership with Moore as Pete and Dud, illustrated with his own drawings.

This is a collection of pieces the great Peter Cook either wrote or improvised. Cook, to me, represents the most naturally funny man there ever was. He could spin comedy out of the smallest comment.
