Diaries 1969-1979
The Python Years
The first volume of Michael Palin's diaries, from the birth of Monty Python's Flying Circus to the making of Life of Brian.
Michael Palin began keeping a diary in 1969, the year Monty Python’s Flying Circus first went on air, and this first published volume covers the decade that followed. It records the writing and filming of the television series and of Monty Python and the Holy Grail and Life of Brian, alongside family life in London and the frustrations and friendships of working in a comedy team. Later volumes continue the story into the new century.
