Her search leads back twenty-five years to four teenagers who escaped difficult homes by spending a summer together on a pier by the sea, and to the friendship, pain and survival that marked them. Published in English in 2025 in a translation by Neil Smith, it is a novel about how art and friendship can hold a life together.
