Us Against You
A Novel
The second Beartown novel, as the town faces the loss of its hockey club and an ever more bitter rivalry with its neighbor, Hed.
The sequel to Beartown, published in English in 2018, returns to the town after the events that split it apart. With its hockey club threatened with closure and its best players leaving for the rival town of Hed, Beartown gains a new coach and an unlikely team, while local politics and old grudges push the two communities toward violence. Backman again follows many voices, young and old, through a season that will change them.
