The Law of Peoples
How should peoples with different values live together justly? Rawls's answer for the world stage.
John Rawls extends his theory of justice from a single society to relations between peoples. He sets out principles that liberal and decent non-liberal societies could both accept, covering human rights, just war and duties of assistance to burdened societies. This edition also includes his essay The Idea of Public Reason Revisited.

Rawls is different. He’s the first modern political philosopher (probably since Kant) that tried to answer the question of how just relations between nations and individuals should be organised in a philosophical sense in the era of globalisation. Here we really have the rules of how the world should be run.
