Dajjal, the Qur’an and Awwal al-Zaman

A companion to Hosein’s other writing on Dajjal, this book approaches the figure from awwal al-zaman, the beginning of time, rather than from its end. He argues that the deceiver’s role is established at the outset of the human story and that reading it forward from there, rather than backward from the last age, changes what the Qur’anic and prophetic material is understood to be describing.
