A. C. Grayling

A. C. Grayling is a British philosopher who was born in Northern Rhodesia and taught at Birkbeck, University of London, for two decades before founding New College of the Humanities in 2011. He writes on ethics, humanism and the history of ideas, in around thirty books including The Good Book, The History of Philosophy and Ideas That Matter. His particular gift is making arguments from the philosophical tradition legible to readers who have never studied it, which is also how he reads.
